Cultivating bright futures and embracing wellness, one seed at a time.

Fire Facilitator
I tell all of my group participants and counseling clients the same things: "Always keep it real. I am here to support you, but I cannot do so if you're not transparent".
I don't care whose feathers I ruffle because I only care about people getting well and not wasting their time or money in treatment. This is the truth: most people's groups either suck or are mediocre at best. What makes them better is the bond created in group settings. In other words, the clients often do the work.
Most facilitators walk into a group with just a question and maybe a coloring worksheet, but no real plan for creating an EXPERIENCE and a useful session of treatment that can change the client's LIFE.
Therapists, counselors, and other similar professionals are not effectively trained in group facilitation. I know this from A. seeing them run groups. B. knowing many trainees who are earning their master's or doctorate degrees. C. speaking to associate and licensed therapists working in treatment.
I first fell in love with the group process as a client myself. It was a very eye-opening and enriching experience for the most part because I was in a high-end facility. However, there were clearly facilitators who had no idea what they were doing or were just obviously unprepared, and I felt like I wasted a day of my treatment program that was literally tens of thousands of dollars (I'm not going to say how much because you'd literally freak out as I did).
If this treatment program costs literally TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, why all the inconsistency?
Since I started as a counselor in the addiction field, I have facilitated hundreds of groups per year. The feedback is similar. Clients regularly tell me something along the lines of "This was such a good group" or "This was fun". That is because my groups are clearly different than others.
I have sat in others' groups and yeah, no comment. I would hear the rumblings and grumblings from other clients about how boring and dreadful their group experiences have been.
I have heard in detail about the poor quality treatment that my loved ones have experienced.
If you're like me and all you care about is quality client care, this may be the program for you.
You'll learn how to:
-
run effective telehealth groups from someone whose clients actually liked their telehealth groups
-
create fun and interesting in-person groups that clients will enjoy
-
handle difficult personalities and awkward group dynamics
-
help clients transform their thinking and perspective in as little as an hour
-
properly prepare and structure groups for success
-
increase your competence and confidence in group facilitation
The program is delivered online and includes graded assignments, one-on-one mentorship meetings, weekly lessons, teaching demos, and more.
These lessons were not taught in your master's, doctorate, internship, or vocational program. Learn from someone who has been on the battlefield and learned hard lessons along the way.
After running hundreds of groups per year, I have now figured out the science behind a smooth group EXPERIENCE.
I am currently accepting applications for my in-depth mentorship program called Fire Facilitator, delivered in an online format that you can participate in from anywhere.
The program begins on Jul 1st, 2026. Application deadline is June 22nd, 2026.
