Meet Ally. Advocate. Educator. Healing Facilitator.

I believe that the path to a fulfilling life begins with a single, profound journey: coming home to yourself.

Growing up in Southern California, my early landscape was shaped by dysfunction, trauma, and the weight of generational poverty. For years, I lived in survival mode, detached from my true essence, being told directly and indirectly through my surroundings, peers, and media that I needed to change.

I was ambitious from the time I entered school. I was smart, received many awards, and worked hard. I learned that effort and success would eventually allow me to gain the success I needed to never have to return to the life I hated, but I nearly killed myself in the process.

I left public school for 3 years and was a shell of my former self. I even considered completely dropping out because I was so burnt out and broken from life events. I, someone who was college-bound and celebrated by all my educators since preschool, was considering dropping out of school. Thankfully, I did not.

I had other issues weighing me down, and I eventually received the treatment I needed to change the trajectory of my life.

I found my purpose as a support system for folks seeking behavioral health treatment. Through the roller coaster of working in the behavioral health field, I realized that my own and my loved ones' negative experiences weren't in isolation. The behavioral health treatment field across the nation has rampant quality control issues. I've heard so many stories from clients. I vowed to make sure that everyone who works with me will get the treatment that they deserve.

My Mission

My mission is to improve behavioral health treatment for ALL and create safe communities for healing.

Through Seeds of Genesis, I am providing resources for two kinds of peers: those who have been through hell and back and are seeking community, as well as behavioral health providers, rejecting the complacency that providers are allowed to have in this field. A lot of y'all need to step it up!

But it all goes back to us who have sought treatment or are seeking it. We deserve better care. Amen.
